Baled Biomass Materials Baled Biomass Materials Successfully Ground or Cubed
These are some of many materials that Warren & Baerg has ground and/or cubed. We have been testing materials since 1966, identifying their individual characteristics; determining which can be processed alone and which needed to be blended with other materials; finding out what materials need to have a binding agent added; definining correct pre-processing sizes and proper moisture content. This hands-on experience makes our technical staff one of the most knowledgeable in the industry.

Moisture Content:
All materials should be 18% or less moisture. Some materials will grind or cube at higher moistures but should not be processed at these levels as cubes or ground material do not store well if over 12% moisture. Cube Coolers and Dryers/Coolers will reduce moisture in the cubes.
Bulk Density:
- Ground Biomass ranges between 2 and 14 pounds per cubic foot.
- Biomass Cubes range between 25 and 35 pounds per cubic foot.
Production Capability:
Depending on the materials, processing equipment and experience of the operators, production normally ranges between four and twelve tons per hour for each cuber.
